100NGO signed a Cooperation agreement with waste management company „ComCap“ and Florianopolis municipality in Brasil

100NGO signed a Cooperation agreement with waste management company „ComCap“ and Florianopolis municipality for a long term partnership on practical establishment of a new modern recycling oriented waste management system in the Region After a very successful working week and very successful implemented international seminar on waste management in Florianopolis, 100NGO team signed a Cooperation agreement with the municipal waste management company „ComCap“. The 100NGO team of experts will evaluate the current waste management situation in the region and will accompany the decision making process and further infrastructure development on separate collection and recycling of municipal waste. In Autumn 2017 a Study tour and workshop is held to be organised in Austria where the participants will receive a mutual knowledge on Austrian technologies, know-how and waste management approaches in the different Austrian provinces.  

Sofia composting plant becomes a member of Austrian Quality Assurance Organisation for compost – “ARGE Compost & Biogas Austria”.

The Sofia composting plant becomes a member of the Austrian Quality Assurance Organisation for compost “ARGE Compost & Biogas Austria”. With this the composting plant Han Bogrov implements the external quality assurance scheme for compost run by “ARGE & 100-NGO”. After positive certification the composting plant will be awarded with the Quality Label for compost which also applies for the operational quality management system. ARGE Compost & Biogas Austria was the first national quality assurance organization which was certified by the European Compost Network – ECN QAS. Preceding first certification, the composting plant must successfully pass the recognition year in compliance with BG Ordinance on treatment of biowaste and the Quality Assurance Scheme of “ARGE & 100-NGO”. This includes on-site quality inspection and quality testing of at least 4 compost samples (one in each season). After successful assessment by the Quality Committee of both, test reports on the quality criteria as required by the BG Ordinance and internal QM procedures regarding process management and documentation, quality label and certificate is officially approved. The biological treatment facilities of the City of Sofia produce now 5 different quality products from source separated biowaste

  Sofia’s biological treatment plant (Municipal enterprise waste treatment), including the composting plant for green waste and the biogas plant for commercial food waste and former foodstuff produces now 5 different products from source separated biowaste –complying with BG Ordinance on biowaste treatment. The composting plant Han Bogrov produces 3 types of products: high quality compost (10 mm), mulch compost (10-40 mm) and compost from dewatered digestate. The biogas plant produces 2 types of products: liquid as well as dewatered fermentation product. The quality inspection of all 5 products has been done by “100 NGO” in cooperation with an accredited laboratory in Austria. All samples complied with the quality requirements laid down in the Ordinance on biowaste treatment and could be placed on the market in Bulgaria as a product.
